Fine-grained Consistency for Geo-Replicated Systems

This paper presents Partial Order-Restrictions consistency (PoR consistency), a novel fine-grained consistency definition for geo-replicated systems. PoR consistency generalizes the trade-off between performance and the amount of coordination paid to preserve application invariants, enabling programmers to specify precise consistency requirements per operation.

Abstract

PoR consistency provides a novel fine-grained consistency framework for geo-replicated systems, allowing programmers to specify precise per-operation consistency requirements to balance performance and correctness.
